The Last Caddy is a fictional account of the evolution of a small-town country club in New Hampshire. Told through the recollections of Frank Carter, an original caddy of Potash Country Club, this book brings to life the quirky, hilarious journey of how Potash became a golf course. Memorable characters and the passion of golfers on every level are on full display in this original work.
Representing the spirit of perseverance, this award is a victory for the everyday golfer. David Irwin began golfing as a boy growing up in Keene, New Hampshire. In addition to golf, David has been an avid runner, completing several marathons. Suffering a stroke in 2009 leaving him partially paralyzed David’s enthusiasm for golf and his desire and ability to share his stories continues unabated.
On Saturday, May 3o, David returned to Keene, NH for a book signing at Keene Country Club. It was a great time hosted by the head pro, Charlie Kamal. For those of you in the Keene area who couldn't get out to the country club, you can still buy books locally at the club or Toadstool Bookshop on 222 West Street in Keene.
